Span Academy Of Jazz and Contemporary Music is the music department of SPAN (Society for the performing arts in Nigeria) located in Falomo Roundabout, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.

OUR VISION:

To engender the practice of excellence and virtuosity in jazz, contemporary and African ethnic music performance and pedagogy in Nigeria.

MISSION:
our mission  is to provide a practical hands-on and functional academic approach to music training in the areas of jazz, contemporary and African ethnic music.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The aim and objective of our academy is to train and influence the students through “mentorship style training”, to become excellent and thorough bred musicians and leaders in the field of music performance, capable of leading and expressing their music ideas on their instruments (voice) excellently in diverse musical styles and genres.

Clearly, our objective is to:

• Improve instrument/vocal skills
• Develop excellent performance skills and an understanding of the performance process
• Understand musical theory, vocabulary and history

• Develop self-discipline, group responsibility/dynamics and co-operation
• Encourage personal musical insight and communication through music
• Encourage the usage of music for the enrichment of life

INTENSIVE MUSIC COURSES

Learn music with the professionals: SPAN ACADEMY of jazz and contemporary music Lagos Nigeria, offers you major courses, general courses and exchange course.

After an individual placement assessment, you will be required to start lessons in the course at the right level suitable for you.

If you have no prior knowledge of music, you will automatically start in course level 1.

• COURSE DURATION: 12 WEEKS.
• 12 weeks starts, April 20th to July 3rd 2022.
• Resumption & Start Date: April 20th 2022
• DAYS: MONDAY, WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS
• 15 HOURS IN TOTAL ( 45 MINUTES UNIT OF INSTRUCTION PER CLASS)
• PARTICIPANTS: CLASSES ARE IN SIZEABLE NUMBER.

TUITION FEE #50,000 PER TERM (INSTALLMENT PAYMENT ALLOWED): #300,000 FOR TWO YEARS
