Together We Can Achieve More!

SPAN is ‘Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria’, a Non-Governmental Organisation set up in February 2005 with the aim of creating a world standard for performing arts education and expression in Nigeria. With the vision to build to a performing arts centre in Nigeria where we will educate, empower and present the performing artists and their God given talents, SPAN offers exceptional opportunities in dance, music, theatre and visual arts to talented Nigerian youth, by inspiring, training, and empowering them, so that their creativity is unleashed.

For over 13 years, with the help of a few sponsors, we have been able to train over 2,500 people with very limited financial means through the SPAN Dance Academy, the SPAN Theatre & Film Academy and the SPAN Academy of Jazz and Contemporary Music, most of whom have gone on to be successful entrepreneurs, successful artistes, music instructors, dance instructors etc.

With your donations, we can expand our reach to train and empower more youth who have found their calling in performing arts. Together, we can help them achieve their dreams and enable them to be productive citizens in our community.  

The SPAN Dance Academy, the SPAN Academy of Jazz and Contemporary Music each run a 2 year program respectively, while the SPAN Theatre & Film Academy run a 1 year program. Upon successful completion of the course, the students are given certificates of training.
